Pastor Tom leaves for Brazil on Monday evening, May 23 and returns to Brookhaven on Saturday June 18.  From May 28 to June 5 he will be traveling in Peru

Actions of the Session  from Session Meeting on May 16

 

1. Communion will be served the third Sunday of June instead of the first. 

 

2. Approved bids on painting the steeple and repairing the weather vane:  work to start immediately.

 

3. Approved bids for plastering and painting in the sanctuary. Bids to be submitted for payment through Caithness Fund.

 

4. Chose the book “An Altar in the World” by Barbara Brown Taylor as next book for congregation’s read and discussion. Book to be read during June with discussion at the end of June or early July.

 

5.Announcement that essays have been received and are being read by four person committee for Peacemaking Essay Award, The award to be given on Sunday, June 26 if feasible.
