This Week at Old South Haven Presbyterian Church

 

Pastor Tom leaves for Brazil on Monday evening, May 23 and returns to Brookhaven on Saturday June 18.  From May 28 to June 5 he will be traveling in Peru.  Rev. John E. Brandon, Pastor of Bellport United Methodist Church will cover for pastoral needs while Pastor Philipp is gone.  The Methodist Church number is 631 286 9525.

Saturday, May 28                  9:00am                 CHURCH FAIR: 
Worker volunteers are asked to report to the church at 8 am.  Volunteers are needed at 3 pm for clean-up.  Chair:  Linda Majowka, 286-8907.
Bake sale products may either be dropped off at the church Saturday morning, or delivered to Nancy Best, 360 South Country Rd., Brookhaven,  on Friday.  286-1659.

The Spring congregational book read is “An Altar in the World” by Barbara Brown Taylor.  Book is to be read during June with discussion at the end of June or early July.  Copies of the book will be available in the Gallery Sundays.  $10.  Rev. Taylor's books were a central theme of Pastor Tom's sermon last Sunday—"Experiencing God and Jesus In Places Other Than Church"  His sermon is available online at http://oldsouthhavenchurch.org/AudioLibrary/AudioCatalog.aspx
