We observed Pluralism Sunday back in 2009 and used contributions from other Faith traditions noting commonalities, We will do so again even as we then prepare ourselves for receiving Holy Communion.

Thursday, April 2           7:00pm          Maundy Thursday
                                                            A Passover Seder
          An opportunity to remember the story and in its telling (Haggadah) reliving the Hebrews being freed from Egypt. On the table will be the ceremonial items of Passover: the bitter herbs, a roasted egg, a sweet apple mixture, parsley and a bone. One of the last eartly acts of Jesus was the celebration of the Passover. Gathering his disciples in a small room in Jerusalem he led them in a seder: "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer (Luke 22:15.
Telling the story is a happy time for it is the story of freedom



 
Friday, April 3                                      GOOD FRIDAY
                   3:00pm   Walking the Stations of the Cross together with members of St. James Episcopal church, Brookhaven. We will gather at the small park just East of St. James on Beaver Dam Road. Our walk will take us to the front of Old South Haven Presbyterian Church 
                    7:00pm                  The Service of Tenebrae   (light and shadow)
                    We join with members of The United Methodist Church Bellport at Bellport. Readers will include Linda Majowka, Jason Neal, and Pastor Tom together with readers from the Bellport Church.




 
Sunday, April 5                                     E A S T E R
                               6:00am         Easter Sunrise Service at the Bellport Dock
                Clergy and members of several of our local churches will be participating
                 The Rev. Yuri Ando will bring the message as the sun rises
                            10:00am            Easter Service
                                                Joseph Porcelli, trumpeter begins the service with the playing of "The Holy City". The choir will sing "Open the Gates of the Temple"
We will sing three of the triumphant hymns of Easter. The children will decorate the front of the church with plants individuals have brought and pastor Tom will deliver a sermon titled "Easter Convictions"   Scripture Lessons:  I Corinthians 15: 1-1  and Mark 16: 1-8. Opportunity to give to the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering. The coffee Hour will feature Richard Thomas's baking creations.
