Jesus, remember me, when you come into Your kingdom.
Jesus, remember me, when you come into Your kingdom.
CALL TO CONFESSION
Leader:  God loves us.  For this we should be thankful.  We also need to understand our weaknesses and pray for forgiveness.  Let us now lift our voices in prayer to Almighty God.
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION AND CONFESSION
Our God, who is the source of all true joy has this day granted us a vision of the risen Lord.  Thereby we are able to know the peace which passeth understanding, which the world can neither give nor take away, and to know that pure joy which shall make radiant all our work and-responsibilities.  In such a time of rejoicing we need also remember our shortcomings.
If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  On this Easter Sunday let the King of grace and glory enter into our lives, and give us the strength to recognize our weaknesses and our strengths so that we may overcome the world with the wisdom of faith.
O almighty God, who alone can order the unruly wills and affections of sinful people:  grant unto us your people, the love of this world in the way that you would command.   Let our heart be surely fixed to those acts and deeds where true joys are to be found.   We also acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed;  That we have not loved you and your creations with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and strength; And that we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.   Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and grant us your peace all the days of our life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
Leader:    Hear the good news!  Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation.  The old life has gone; a new life has begun.  I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
   PEOPLE:  Amen.
* GLORIA PATRI                                                                                    #581
  PASSING OF THE PEACE
Leader:    Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts since as members of one
body you were called to peace.  The peace of Christ be with you.
PEOPLE:  And also with you. Amen.
GREETING:  He is Risen!          RESPONSE:  He is Risen Indeed!
(Because of health concerns, it is suggested that we refrain from
shaking hands during the Passing of the Peace)
CHILDREN'S SERMON
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Leader:     Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of Your Holy Spirit, that

with joy what You say to us today.  Amen.

* AFFIRMATION OF FAITH        "Apostles' Creed "
I believe in the God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.  And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified dead and buried.  He descended into hell, the third day he rose again from the dead, he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  Amen.
