This Week at Old South Haven Church

Easter Sunday was a glorious event with a fine attendance, wonderful musical numbers by the choir plus Sandy and Ken's duet of "The Holy City" augmented with the glorious trumpet sounds of Joe in addition to his earlier beautiful rendition of Leroy Anderson's "A Trumpeter's Lullaby" and then ending the service with "Opening the Gates of the Temple."
There was spirited singing of the hymns and the joy with which the children made several trips to bring the many plants in to beautify the sanctuary. And then we finished off with a coffee hour featuring Richard Thomas's baking and decorating skills.
Yes, for all it was truly a "Happy Easter

And we finish off this week by once again, now for the sixth time, host the "Opera, Organ, and More…" recital's fund raiser for the South Country Education Foundation's summer music scholarship program for students in grades 4 through 11.(see special email of earlier this week)
