Session Report  3/19/12

1.      Report that outdoor lighting work has commenced

2.      Approved plans for Palm/Passion Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.

3.      Approved every other week for meeting of church school

4.      Report that we will again sponsor the Peacemaking Essay Contest at the High School with essays into us the second week of April.

5.      Approved having a Session Retreat in September

6.      Approved hosting the Presbytery Meeting of April 16, 2013

7.      Approved participating in the Sacred Sites Open House, sponsored by the New York Landmarks Conservancy. May 19-20, 2012

8.      Approved exploring possible membership in the Bellport Chamber of Commerce.

9.      Fund Raising Committee considering periodic “table games” nights on Saturdays; also looking at sponsoring Gilbert and Sullivan event.

   10. Approved having piano and organ tuned before April 28

          program

11.     Reminder that date of Yard Sale is Saturday, May 26.

12.      Pastor Tom indicated that he would like to celebrate his 50th year in the Christian ministry with he and his family sponsoring a couple of ‘educational” programs during the summer and/or fall for the church, the local community and the Presbytery utilizing resources of Union Theological Seminary.
