LI Presbytery meets at Old South Haven Church

Presbytery of Long Island Meets at the Old South Haven Presbyterian Church
Moderator Glorya J. Johnson leads the Long Island Presbytery in a hymn at the opening of their meeting.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, the Old South Haven Presbyterian Church hosted a meeting of the Long Island Presbytery.  The Presbytery is the regional governing body for approximately 60 Presbyterian Church (USA) parishes in Nassau and Suffolk counties.  All minister members of the Presbytery are represented, along with elder commissioners from each congregation.  The Presbytery normally meets about four times a year at different churches across the island.

The welcome by Old South Haven Church Pastor Tom Philipp, as well as the sermon delivered by Kristi Van Nostran, Presbyterian Church (USA) Mission Co-Worker, may be found HERE.
