This Week at Old South Haven Church October 31, 2019
Standard Time resumes Sunday, November 3. Please remember to set your clocks back one hour when you turn in Saturday evening.
A service of interment will be held for the Rev. Tom Philipp Sunday afternoon, November 3 pm on the church grounds. The family invites all those who knew and loved Tom to join them as his remains are laid to rest on the grounds of Old South Haven.
The Mission and Social Justice Committee of Old South Haven will be screening TRIGGER: The Ripple Effect of Gun Violence Sunday, November 3rd at 5:00 pm. Old South Haven Presbyterian Church sheds light on relevant societal issues and the importance of building intergenerational empathy and interpersonal connections in our community.Ê invite your neighbors and friends. There is no charge and all are welcome.
Sunday, November 3, is Stewardship Sunday here at OSH. This year, as you prepare to call a new pastor to serve here at OSH in the coming years, your estimate of what you intend to give to support ministry and mission is particularly important. Although paying a pastor is not the only commitment you make as a church it is the one which matters most for the ongoing life of the congregation. That said it is vital that the giving of the congregation be such that the members can bear the expenses that are associated with the pastor. And that means that giving by the congregation as a whole needs to increase. Given that we ask that you prayerfully consider what you intend to give in 2020 and that you return an estimate of giving card Sunday
