Once again on both Palm Sunday and Easter there will be the opportunity to give to the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering. Beginning on the Third Sunday of Lent (April 22) our morning worship will include a Minute for Mission describing the three programs of our denomination that receive financial support from this offering. One of these is the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Fund. Presently monies from this Fund are being channeled into Syria where tens of thousands of people are caught in the crossfire between government and opposition forces resulting in thousands of Syrians fleeing their homes to escape the violence. Monies will be used to help meet basic humanitarian needs of the affected people.
