This Week at Old South Haven Church

NOTICE

A Special Meeting of the Session was held on Monday, June 22, for the purpose of hearing and acting on a proposal regarding the widening and repaving of the Church parking lot and the widening and repaving of the driveway including the addition of a few parking spaces, and lighting at the entrance of the driveway.

The Session approved the proposal authorizing that it be done in two steps: 1, widening and. repaving the present parking lot and . 2, as money is available, to widen and repave the driveway and erect lighting at the foot of the driveway. Costs: Step One (includes adding a drywell) ca. $26,000. Step Two ca. $17,000. A 10% contingency has been added for each step.

The vote of the Session was unanimous and each Session member will contribute financially with no amount specified.

Work has begun to form a Capital Drive Committee. Opportunity to give to this project will go beyond the OSHPC worshipping community.

. It is anticipated that work on Step One will begin in late September.

We are fortunate that in the past few years work on the interior of the Church building, and improved exterior lighting around the church, the reconstruction of the organ and the gift of a piano has put us "in good shape" as we now take on this new project. We trust we have the financial support and the prayers of this faith community.
