Dear Members and Friends of Old South Haven Church,

Please join us this coming Sunday, May 29, 20220, at 10:30 AM, for a virtual and live Church Service. The Bulletin and List of Joys and Concerns are attached. Pastor Glorya's sermon topic is: "Open the Door or Leave It Closed". The details for joining the Zoom service are below.

Please also join us on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 9 to 3 for our Annual Church Fair. Of course, we would certainly appreciate your coming earlier to help with setup and maybe later for cleaning up. We will have several vendors, Ken's antique car to admire, hot dogs by Richard, and hopefully, weather permitting, live music, from 11 AM to 1 PM, by the members of the South Country String Band. Please tell your neighbors and friends.

Last Sunday, Pastor Emerita Jeanne Baum read a letter of thank you from Philip & Richard Altomare and Rachael (Philip's Fiance) for our contributions toward Helen's funeral expenses. "Between your generous contributions and those from friends and family, we were able to raise almost exactly how much we needed! … We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Feeling such love and support from the community for our mother from the community has truly lifted our spirits — to witness the tremendous and unexpected response brought tears to our eyes.…"

Message from Joann Neal and the Board of Deacons:

Please let the congregation know that Helen Altomare passed away yesterday and the family has very little money. Deacons have been polled and agree to contribute $900.00 to the cost of the funeral which is costing $7,000.00. We will be asking the congregation to make a good will offering, if they choose, this Sunday as the service will be next Wednesday. Checks can be made out to Robertaccio Funeral Home. Thank you for passing on this information.
