Our lectionary reading for this coming Sunday is from the Book of Esther and is celebrated as Purim (this year observed on March 7) The background is a wonderful story, probably one you never heard.

Pastor Tom is one of this year’s three recipients. Ceremony followed immediately by a banquet. $75 for those attending the banquet. Linda Majowka, Shirley MacKay, and Nancy Best will be attending. If others wish to attend inform Pastor Tom so that an invitation can be sent from the Seminary.

We are happy to announce that as a result of receiving a grant of $7,200 from The Knapp/Swezey Foundation and an additional anonymous gift of $2,000 from outside the congregation, we have been able to purchase a new baby grand piano. The delivery date will depend upon scheduling the removal of the present piano by the individual who will be the new owner.
